each contest and a raffle for great prizes throughout the
registration process.
After you
have enjoyed a stress-free game of scramble golf, we invite you
to join us for a buffet lunch. This will give you the
opportunity to hang out with old friends and make some new ones
as we draw for prizes and crown our winners.
We hope
that you join us for a great day of golf as we raise money
for the projects of the John P. Bell Family Foundation.
Please fill out the registration form and return it to the
attention of Gary Bell at 1580 N. Kolb Road, Suite 206,

populations and the caregivers who must continuously serve
these populations.

Bert
and John Jacobs of Life is good® are coming to Tucson!
Thursday, April 6th, 2006
Two
of the nation’s hottest entrepreneurs are coming to Tucson!
Brothers Bert and John Jacobs of Life is good, Inc.®, one of the
fastest growing companies in the apparel industry, will be speaking
at the Second Annual "Internship to Scholarship to Fellowship"
benefit dinner hosted by Home Court Advantage and the John P. Bell
Family Foundation. The event will be held at 7 pm at the Rancho
Valle Milagro Mansion located at 900 N. Circle D 85748 (Speedway and
Houghton). Tickets are $100 per person or $1000/table. Tickets can
be purchased by calling Kathy Flores Bell @ (520) 237-9190 or Mike
Bell @520-293-0344. Home Court Advantage is a project of Dr. Kevin
Leman and Kathy Flores Bell. Corporate sponsors will receive an
exclusive advertising package as well as opportunity to meet with
Bert and John at a separate “up close and personal”
event.
About
Bert and John Jacobs
After
college, Bert and John Jacobs started their company out of the back
of a van. They sold t-shirts door to door in college dormitories. At
the beginning they were not very successful. They lived out of the
van, ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and showered when they
could. With the help of Jake, their stick figure icon with the
infectious grin, and their philosophy of “do what you like, like
what you do,” they have grown Life is good® into a $60 million
dollar rising star in the apparel industry. Their company foregoes
any traditional advertising, choosing instead to raise significant
funds and awareness for their charitable partners. One such charity
will be Camp Sunshine Arizona, hosting its first medical week here
in Tucson in June, for families/children with cancer. Kathy Flores
Bell is on the board.
About
the scholarship program:
Created by Kathy Flores Bell and
going into its 11th year, this PAID
internship program has evolved from small speaking engagements to
event planning, philanthropic projects, and entrepreneurial
endeavors. High school kids from around the city have an
opportunity to engage in some of the most dynamic projects and
programs as well as speak to parents about growing up, love and life
as a teen. Upon graduation, the participating senior high school
students receive a $500 scholarship. It is our way of saying “keep
going”, “don’t stop”, “and fly”! Your education is important.
Numerous other scholarships are given out, including
·
Dr. Kevin Leman's Legacy scholarship
·
A teen parent continuing his or her education beyond
high school
·
Hispanic Business student
·
Minnesota Nurse’s scholarship
·
All proceeds benefit the efforts within
“Internship to Scholarship to Fellowship” program
within the John P. Bell Family Foundation.
